Is Your House Ready for Your Weight Management Program?


It’s often the little things that pose the greatest barriers to weight loss. Here’s some tips to help you through:

  • Before you start, go through all your cupboards and refrigerator and get rid of all the junk food and snacks that you know are unhealthy and may tempt you.
  • If you have a family, ask them to hide them from you.
  • Stock your refrigerator and cupboard with things that are healthy and low in fat and in sugars
  • Have a plan already made for snack attacks: ie cut up veggies with a herb low fat dip, fruit, lowfat yogurt, unsweetened applesauce or fruit puree
  • In restaurants keep your eye open for healthy alternatives, many menus will show you healthy or Heart Smart choices
  • Reward yourself with a non-food prize when you successfully made it through a high calorie event.
